Michael Key

Chief Executive Officer

Prior to co-founding Impello, where Michael oversees product development, innovation, and implementation, Michael was the Director of horticultural R&D at Functional Remedies, the first USDA certified organic hemp farm in the United States. Michael has also been a research assistant in the Center for Rhizosphere Biology at Colorado State University, where he earned his degree in Horticulture.

Eric Hagstrom

Chief Operating Officer

Eric is the COO and co-founder of Impello Biosciences, where he works alongside our scientists to turn visionary ideas into products. Previously, Eric worked for CW Technologies, where he and his team developed investment strategies for real estate development projects. Prior to his business career, and directly following college, Eric played professional golf in Arizona. He has a bachelors in History/Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. 

Adam DeRosa

Chief Commercial Officer

Adam is responsible for setting Impello's commercial strategy, including its sales forces and initatives to drive business growth. Prior to co-founding Impello Biosciences, Adam worked in Tokyo with Mitsubishi's Global Strategy Department. He later helped develop a lead generation team with The Regis Company, a leadership consulting organization based in Golden, CO. Adam is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a degree in economics. 

 

Mark Johnson JD

IP/Patent Counsel


Corporate/intellectual property counsel with experience prosecuting patents
and developing IP technologies. Experience counseling clients on legal and
strategic issues related to intellectual property, drafting and prosecuting
patent applications in the U.S. and abroad, and evaluating intellectual
property for due diligence analyses and freedom to operate opinions.
Prosecuted a hundreds of chemical, biochemical and biological patents, in a
broad spectrum of technologies including: medical devices, molecular
biology, antibodies, small molecules, polymers, and pharmaceuticals.

Hoffman-La Roche purchased the company and IP for $125 million

Corporate/IP/Patent Counsel for startup GTI Diagnostics, Waukesha, WI
Immucor, Inc. purchased the company and IP for $57 million

IP/Patent Counsel for startup Panvera, Inc. , Madison, WI
Aurora Bioscience purchased the company and IP for $80 million
